Iran to pay $150,000 to each victim of the Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737 crash

The Iranian government has agreed to pay $150,000 to the families of every victim who lost their lives in the Ukraine International Airlines flight crash near Tehran.

The bill was passed by the Legal Department of the President’s Office on Wednesday. According to the Iranian vice president for legal affairs, the government will pay the compensation to every victim’s families as soon as it is provided based on the reports and documents.

Regarding this, the Iranian Legal Department said:

“The Ministry of Transport and Urban Development has been instructed to arrange for the payment of $ 150,000, or it’s equivalent in euros to the families of each of the victims as soon as possible and to pay the amounts to the beneficiaries based on the relevant documents.”

The Kyiv-bound UIA flight PS-752 crashed shortly after departure from Tehran after it was hit by an anti-aircraft missile, killing all 176 passengers and crew members on board.
